Huh?

You may or may not know, but I am an aspiring freelance writer... still in the aspiring stage and who knows if I'll actually make it to the official freelance stage, but anyways, I received a response back from the Editors of a magazine recently. There reply made it seem like I was accepted and rejected at the same time... you would think the Editors could make it clear!
I'll let you judge for yourself, although, I've decided that since they didn't ask to see the rest of my piece, I was again rejected :-(

Dear Writer,

Thank you for your submission.

Very few unsolicited manuscripts make it into print. Yours, unfortunately, isn't one of them. We regret that, because of the volume, we cannot comment in detail on each manuscript we receive.

Sincerely,

The Editors

  2. Dear Writer,(WE AREN'T EVEN WILLING TO TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE YOUR NAME...well maybe they couldn't spell Kjaere)
Thank you for your submission.(OUR RECORDS SHOW THAT YOU SENT US SOMETHING...THOUGH WE'RE NOT EVEN GOING TO PUT THE TITLE OF YOUR "SUBMISSION" BECAUSE THAT WOULD TAKE UP VALUEABLE TIME)

We regret that, because of the volume, we cannot comment in detail on each manuscript we receive.(BECAUSE WE PROBABLY DIDN'T EVEN READ IT...SINCE WE'RE NOT BOTHERING TO LEARN YOUR NAME)

Sincerely,(WE'RE SINCERELY EDITORS...BUT NOT VERY SINCERE PEOPLE!)

The Editors(WE DON'T BOTHER TO LIST OUR NAMES BECAUSE OUR JOB TURNOVER RATE IS TOO HIGH AND THEN WE'D HAVE TO KEEP TYPING NEW ONES ALL THE TIME...WHICH WOULD BE FAR TOO SINCERE OF US!)
